If you're looking for a high-performance point-and-shoot setup for underwater photography, the Ikelite 200FP/F Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha a6700 with a built-in fiber optic transmitter is an excellent option.
We’ve configured this housing the way we would personally use it, including a dual tray with dual handles, trigger extensions, a vacuum system, and a spare O-ring for added reliability and ease of use.
This housing is designed specifically for the Sony Alpha a6700 paired with the compact Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens. The lens’s Power Zoom (PZ) feature allows for a convenient drop-in camera installation, making setup quick and simple. The integrated glass flat port includes 67mm front threads, allowing the attachment of external wet lenses. When using larger wide-angle wet lenses, a 67mm-to-bayonet adapter (sold separately) is recommended for additional support.
The housing’s built-in fiber optic transmitter connects to the camera’s hot shoe and converts the camera’s flash signal into LED pulses that can be read by compatible fiber-optic strobes. This system works with many popular underwater strobe brands such as INON, Sea&Sea, Retra, Weefine, Kraken Sports, and AOI. Fiber-optic strobes used with this system operate in manual power mode.
Constructed from Ikelite’s durable ABS-PC blend, the housing is lighter than aluminum while remaining highly robust. The included vacuum system lets you verify the seal and check for potential leaks before entering the water, giving you added peace of mind during your dive.

We were not able to get consistent operation from the Kraken KR-SO2 strobe.

Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used in or adapted to this housing. We are not aware of any other models which may be used in or adapted to this housing.
